The Tsamai website and platform, accessible at https://www.tsamai.com/ (the “Site”), together with the Tsamai mobile applications (collectively, the “Platform”), are operated by Tsamai Ltd  (“Company”, “Tsamai”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Tsamai.


1. What Tsamai Is

Tsamai is a city-to-city seat-sharing platform.

  • Tsamai does not own vehicles
  • Tsamai does not provide transportation
  • Drivers are independent third parties
  • Tsamai facilitates booking, payments, communication, and safety tools
  • Tsamai is not a bank, remittance provider, transfer agent, or financial institution.

2. Accounts and Access

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate account information
  • Safeguarding your login credentials
  • All activity performed under your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts to protect safety, compliance, or platform integrity.


3. Tsamai Wallets & Tsar Units

3.1 Tsamai Wallets

Tsamai provides an internal wallet system used exclusively for travel-related payments.

Tsamai wallets:
  • Are not bank accounts
  • Do not earn interest
  • Are not insured
  • Exist only within the Tsamai Platform

3.2 Tsar Units

A Tsar is an internal platform credit.

1 Tsar = 1 USD

Tsars are:

  • Not legal tender
  • Not electronic money
  • Not cryptocurrency

Tsars may only be used to pay for:

  • Seats on Tsamai trips
  • Approved travel-related charges

Tsars may not be used for:

  • Cash withdrawals
  • Savings or investment
  • General money transfers
  • Non-travel purposes

3.3 Funding Wallets

Wallets may be funded using supported payment methods.

All wallet funding:

  • Is intended solely for travel
  • May be subject to limits or verification
  • May be delayed or reversed for fraud or compliance checks


4. Transfers Between Members

Where enabled, transfers are limited to travel-related purposes only, such as:

  • Paying for a booked seat
  • Settling trip-related balances

Tsamai does not operate as a general money transfer service.

We reserve the right to:

  • Monitor wallet activity
  • Reverse or block misuse
  • Suspend accounts using wallets outside intended travel purposes


5. Driver Wallet

5.1 Driver Earnings

Drivers earn Tsars when:

  • A passenger successfully books a seat
  • A trip is completed in accordance with platform rules

Earnings are reflected in the Driver Wallet.

5.2 Holds & Pending Balances

To protect passengers and the platform:

  • Earnings may be temporarily held until trip completion
  • Holds may apply during disputes or safety reviews

5.3 Payouts

Any future driver payout or cash-out feature:

  • Is not guaranteed
  • Will require identity verification
  • Will be governed by separate payout terms

Tsamai reserves the right to delay or refuse payouts for compliance reasons.

5.4 Driver Responsibilities

Drivers agree to:

  • Provide accurate trip details
  • Honour confirmed bookings
  • Comply with safety and cancellation rules

Repeated violations may result in suspension or removal from the Platform.


6. Cancellation & Penalty Rules

6.1 Passenger Cancellations

  • Cancellation rules depend on trip timing and driver policy
  • Refunds may be issued as wallet credits or forfeited
  • Late cancellations may incur penalties

6.2 Driver Cancellations

Driver cancellations:

  • Disrupt passenger plans
  • May result in penalties
  • May affect driver ratings and account status

Repeated driver cancellations may lead to suspension.

6.3 No-Shows

No-shows by passengers or drivers may result in:

  • Loss of wallet funds
  • Penalties
  • Account review

6.4 System Cancellations

Tsamai may cancel trips due to:

  • Safety concerns
  • Fraud detection
  • Regulatory requirements

System cancellations may result in wallet refunds where appropriate.


7. Safety & Tracking Features

Features such as:

  • Live trip tracking
  • Trusted contact notifications

Are informational only. They do not guarantee safety, and Tsamai does not monitor trips in real time for intervention.


8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Tsamai to:

  • Violate laws or regulations
  • Harass or endanger others
  • Upload false or misleading information
  • Circumvent wallet rules
  • Launder or store funds

Misuse may result in permanent account termination.


9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”.

Tsamai disclaims all warranties, including:

  • Fitness for purpose
  • Accuracy
  • Availability
  • Non-infringement


10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tsamai is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Disputes between users
  • Travel outcomes or delays

Use of the Platform is at your own risk.


11. Compliance & Regional Use

Tsamai operates across multiple regions, including Zimbabwe and Southern Africa.

You acknowledge that:

  • Wallet features are designed for travel facilitation only
  • Tsamai is not regulated as a financial institution
  • Compliance checks may vary by region

We may restrict features to comply with local laws.


12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time to protect:

  • Platform integrity
  • User safety
  • Legal compliance

Certain provisions survive termination.


13. Privacy

Your use of Tsamai is governed by our Privacy Policy.


14. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, content, and software belong to Tsamai or its licensors. Unauthorised use is prohibited.


15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
